- How do I correct information in my profile?
To correct information in your profile, click on the "My Manager" link
from the main members area screen. This will launch a new page with various options
for editing different portions of your profile. For example, clicking on "Edit
Physical stats" will load a page with the information you currently have
on file. Simply correct your information and submit the form to save your changes.
- I don't remember my username or my password. What should I do?
If you registered with a legitimate email address your username and password
can be sent to you. Just click on any "Lost password" link you find
and enter the email address you registered. Your username and password will
be sent as long as the email address you enter is found in your files. You cannot
enter a different email address from the one that you registered.
- How do I send a message to another member?
To send a message to another member, first click on the members
picture (if they don't have a picture, click where there would
normally be a picture) that will bring you to their profile. You
will see the send a message link at the top of their profile. Click on the link to leave
a message.
- How do I save a message that I've received from another member?
In your inbox, put a tick in the box next to the message that you want to save, then click on the save button.
- What if I don't want to receive an e-mail notification,
everytime someone sends me a message?
If you don't want an e-mail message sent to you everytime someone
sends you a message on this site, just sign in, and click on
change preferences, and uncheck the message alerts box.
- How does this website work?
The way the system is set up, is that you can sign up and create a
profile for free and you can send messages to any other
members for free. If you want to read or reply to a message from another member, you must become a
"paid" member, which requires a monthly fee. With the "paid"
membership, you can read messages and use the
additional features.
- I'm a free member who's received a message, how can I see the sender's profile ?
In the left hand bar of the screen, you will see a user search box. Enter the user name in here, click the button and the profile will be displayed.
- I just signed up and I didn't get my activation code?
Normally the activation code and any email this system sends out,
is instant, you should get it instantly or within a couple of
minutes. Under some circumstances, it could take up to half an
hour to receive it, or longer if the internet is under a heavy
load. You can always click the resend activation code link if you
want to make sure that it was sent.
- Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Yes, you may cancel your free or paid membership at anytime by
signing in, and clicking on the Manager icon, and selecting cancel
membership in the box below, but paid membership is on a monthly
basis, we don't provide refunds for a partial month. If you are a "paid" member, make sure
that after following instructions to cancel
your membership, you click the continue link, to continue to the
PayPal website to cancel the billing.
- How do I cancel my Subscription after I log into my PayPal
account?
On the my account tab, click the history link. You will see
Show: and a box next to it, click on the box and choose
subscriptions. Then below that, you will see choose within:
and a box, click on the box and choose past year (if you have
started your subscription more than a year ago, then choose the
dates below that) then press the search button - You will see all
your subscriptions, find the one with the name Date4Later,
you should see subscription creation (under Type), to the right it
should say Active (under details), click on the link, at the
bottom of the page you will see a Cancel Subscription Button
Click the button and your subscription will be cancelled.
- How do I place a newspaper style classified ad?
When you log in, at the top of the screen you will see a link for "Full Profile Manager",
click this link to go to the full manager page. In the links on the right hand side, you will see one for "Add/Edit
classified ads" click this and follow the instructions. Please note that these ads expire after 28 days.
